PANTERA-Stars is an international collective involving researchers from several countries, and working on various aspects of particle acceleration in astrophysical sources, with emphasis on Galactic objects. The fields of expertise cover observational astrophysics in various spectral domains, from radio waves to gamma-rays, along with theoretical astrophysics in particular in the field of non-thermal processes.
The main part of the PANTERA activities focuses on the investigation of stellar objects, hence the extension Stars in the collective's name. This includes massive stars at various stages of their evolution and in various configurations (binaries or higher multiplicity systems, bow shock runaways...), along with young stellar objects. Even though the specific features and properties of these objects are considered, our general approach is meant to address the overall physics of these objects, keeping an eye on what they should have in common despite their specificities.
