Comments:
The time-scale of the varation of the radio emission (about 20 yr, Blomme et al. 2007) is compatible with the period of the wide orbit revealed by long baseline interferometry (De Becker et al. 2012).
The most recent X-ray information about HD167971 has been provided by De Becker (2015). The thermal X-ray emission seems to be dominated by the short period wind interaction region in the triple system, with only a weak/moderate contribution from the colliding-wind region responsible for the non-thermal radio emission.
The multiplicity has been investigated using long baseline interferometry and spectrocopy by Le Bouquin et al. (2017).
Hogh resolution radio imaging as been reported by Sanchez-Bermudez et al. (2019) and De Becker et al. (2024).
